Officially licensed kits turn a great build into a tribute to something you love — a favorite film, franchise, or brand. They tend to be among the most popular (and most giftable) metal models, and these are our top picks.
Why licensed kits are special
Beyond the recognizable subject, licensed kits — especially Metal Earth’s Premium Series — usually come in full color, which makes the finished model far more striking than a bare-steel build. They are the kits most likely to earn a spot front-and-center on a shelf.

Frequently asked questions
Are licensed kits harder to build?
Not always. Listed difficulty depends on the kit: the Harry Potter Golden Snitch is rated easy, while Hogwarts Castle in Snow is rated expert. Color edges also need gentle handling. They are best for builders with a kit or two of experience.
Are they good gifts?
Excellent ones — a licensed kit of someone’s favorite franchise is one of the most reliable gifts in the hobby. See our gift guide.
